Bay St Louis, MS (May 2007) : After Jazz Fest in New Orleans, we decided to drive to Bay St Louis, MS, a little town on the Gulf Coast because Dave went to High School there.

In August 2005, this area was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. 
125-mile-an-hour winds and 34-foot storm surge put 95 percent of Bay St Louis and Waveland underwater. 
Every span of the two-mile-long bridge connecting Bay St. Louis to the rest of the Mississippi Gulf Coast was ripped apart.

In May 2007, progress has been made but it was still surreal. I can't find words to describe it...
