People Powered Ride (Oct 2007) : On October 7, 2007, we rode the People Powered Ride (70 Miles) in the Santa Ynez Valley. The Goleta Valley Cycling Club did a great job (excellent food, fun route, limited number of riders, wonderful setting at the Firestone Vineyard...) Amgen Tour of California (Solvang & SB) 02/2007 : On February 23, 2007, we went to watch the Amgen Tour of California in Solvang. Under sunny skies, Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team's Levi Leipheimer won stage 5, a time trial. Amgen Tour of California (Santa Barbara), 02/2006 : The First Annual Amgen Tour of California began in San Francisco on Sunday, February 19, 2006 and ended some 600 miles later in Redondo Beach a week later. We were lucky to see this big race in Santa Barbara on Friday, Feb 24th.
